What is meant by parking software?

Smart Parking is more in demand today than ever before. More and more cars are on the road in cities, while the number of parking spaces remains the same. This increases search traffic and causes congestion, noise, frustration and a great burden on the environment. In view of this, intelligent guidance of searching vehicles to free parking spaces is optimal. Part of the system is the parking software.
LTS AG has created the ideal solution with the intelligent traffic and parking management system TAPS. It ensures that drivers have to search for parking spaces for a much shorter time. In addition, the installation of the system is extremely simple and requires comparatively little effort. Thus, TAPS holds advantages in store for road users even before it goes into operation.
How does the parking software get its data?
TAPS consists of the following three components:
The TAPS Sensors are embedded into the ground. This is done by a simple drilling and takes only half an hour. In addition, no cables need to be laid, as the sensors are completely energy self-sufficient. It is therefore not necessary to close off the parking spaces that are to be equipped with sensors for a long time or over a large area.
If the sensors are located in the ground, they detect whether there is a car above them or not. Advanced algorithms ensure a detection rate of at least 99 percent. Alternatively, we have also developed Ceiling Sensor. These are mounted on the ceiling and have an equally high detection rate.
Both types of sensors send the data they collect wirelessly to a TAPS Gateway. It can be located at a maximum distance of 150 meters and receive data from up to 64 sensors. The number of sensors can even be expanded at the customer's request. The gateway then sends the data on to the TAPS Software developed by us .
All the information collected by the sensors thus comes together in the parking software. Because this happens in real time, the software can be used for dynamic control of parking search traffic.
What features does the Parking Software have?

Our parking software is the heart of TAPS. It consists of two dashboards: the device dashboard and the overview dashboard. The device dashboard shows the status of all sensors and gateways. This makes it possible to see at a glance whether there is a problem with a component of the system. This can then be quickly rectified, ensuring the functionality of TAPS.
In the overview dashboard, the user can see all the information collected by the sensors. It is therefore possible to see which parking spaces are currently free and which are occupied. This information can be forwarded in real time to other infrastructures, such as parking guidance systems. They direct motorists to free parking spaces or to parking garages where there are currently free spaces.
The data collected by the TAPS sensors is displayed in visualized form in the parking software. This makes it possible to see immediately, for example, how long certain parking spaces have been occupied. The parking software also performs an analysis of parking space usage. For example, it displays the average occupancy time of each parking space.
Commercial parking managers will also be interested in the option of displaying how much revenue each parking space brings in on average. In this way, it is possible to see whether certain parking spaces are particularly lucrative. The Parking Software outputs the visual evaluations as daily or monthly reports in the form of CSV or Excel files.
The active sensors can be grouped in the Parking Software. For example, individual street areas can be selected separately. The use of certain parking types, such as handicapped parking spaces, can also be analyzed. In addition, information about the payment of parking fees can also be evaluated.
Intelligent parking space management with LTS AG
LTS AG specializes in developing solutions for traffic and parking. With TAPS, we offer a technology that responds to the demands of today's urban traffic. The parking software, which evaluates and manages the data, was developed entirely in-house. We manage our projects from planning to implementation and subsequent support.
